The COVID pandemic brought healthcare disparities to the forefront. To acknowledge this fundamental societal challenge, we created the BoyzABC Family Fund to support resource-limited families. These funds support food, housing, transportation, childcare, mental health and wellness, and co-payments. In the first three years, the fund has been able to support >75 families, including childcare support for single mothers, food for several patients and their families with food insecurity, and shelter for patients in need. A goal moving forward is to raise enough money to also support patients to come to major breast care centers for second opinions and/or clinical trials.
