FAQ

Do I have to swim a certain number of laps or time?

No. You can swim as many laps as you want and take as long as you want.  You can also get in and out of the pool to take breaks.

Do I have to be there at 9AM?

No. Opening ceremonies are at 9 (which is a highlight of the event), but you can come at any time to participate.

If I don’t want to swim, how can I support the event?

There are several ways to show your support.  You can volunteer during the event (sign up online), you can sponsor a swimmer or team, you can give a flat donation to BoyzABC, and/or you can bid on a silent auction item.

How do I sponsor?

You can provide sponsorship for either an individual or a team.  You can either give a flat donation in support of them, or you can pledge a certain amount per lap that they swim. This can all be done online. If you sponsor per lap, the donation will be calculated after we get the final lap count, and you will be notified via email.  If the total amount exceeds what you expected, don’t worry, you will have 24 hours to adjust the amount.

How do I bid on the silent auction?

Notification will go out via email when the silent auction opens.  The silent auction will open one week before the event and remain opened for 24 hours after the event.  Bids can be made online (link will be provided). There will also be an opportunity to make a silent auction bid at the event.

Will there be prizes?

Yes. Top fundraisers will receive a prize (to be determined). All swimmers will receive a BoyzABC swim cap, all volunteers will receive a BoyzABC sweatshirt, and all participants can enjoy Bob’s Donuts and a pancake breakfast!
